If you don’t meditate or do some sort of relaxation exercise every day, start now! I do a guided meditation either every morning or evening to help start my day off focused or to help me go to sleep. I am telling you, it really works! I am a graduate student who works multiple jobs, and I reached a point where I needed to find a quick and easy way to keep myself motivated and focused instead of having burnout 24/7. After absolutely nothing was working to keep my anxiety down and my attention focused… (wait for it…)
I found a solution!
So, what is self-love? Self-love means that you are understanding of what you need and giving that to yourself. If you’re tired, then take a nap. If you’re not feeling confident, then give yourself some uplifting words. It’s all about listening to your body and mind and what you need in that moment to feel recharged and reenergized. Here’s a list of ways that you can do this!
In this list, I mention crafting your own self-love jar. This jar is a great tool for when you are needing a pick-me-up, from yourself! This is just a neat way of reminding yourself about how awesome you are 🙂
Self-care is extremely important for your well-being. I like to think of myself as some sort of self-care enthusiast since I am obsessed with helping people find a self-care practice that works for them. What is relaxing for one person just might not be the same for another, and that’s the reality of it! I have compiled a list of 101 ways that you can practice self-care in hopes of helping you find a self-care practice that works for YOU! Not only is this list full of practical and easy ways to practice self-care, most of them are F-R-E-E, free! Enjoy!
Starting the day off right is sooo incredibly important, so why not start it off by taking care of yourself? You are doing yourself a huge favor by focusing on your needs before focusing on everything else you have to do (and probably for other people – your kids, significant other, your boss, or whoever it may be!). Burnout is real people! By developing a morning self-care routine, you are ultimately setting yourself up for success.
I have written this post to give you a glimpse at how I start my days off right by taking care of myself, so that I can be the best version of myself throughout the day and to avoid any possible version of burnout. I hope this post inspires you to think of ways that you can give yourself a self-care routine as well!
